Anna Ådén is a wonderfully talented Swedish photographer based in Umeå, Northern Sweden. Her magic photographs are set in nature or the private atmosphere inside a room. All of her pictures have this far away, dreamy feel to them no matter what season.

Anna’s personal work seems so often fascinated with picturing inscrutable ambiguities in the minds of women who wander in landscapes made over into something magical. She makes images that function as analogues to ancient fairy tales, wherein the forest looms, the waves beckon, and moments of exquisite isolation are charged with the immanent threat of powerful yet invisible forces.
